a gift for Indonesia.

The number of new cases of COVID-19 is accelerating rapidly. Since 26 January 2021, Indonesia has recorded 1 million COVID-19 cases. COVID-19 is more than a simple virus, such as smallpox. If someone is confirmed as a positive COVID-19 patient, he/she may not fully recover. The clinical practitioners and professors of internal medicine in the faculty of medicine University Indonesia stated “according to 500 thousand Indonesian recovered from COVID-19, 10 percent still have symptoms called long COVID”

Studies from National Health Service Hospitals in England indicating close to one in eight COVID patients had died in the months after being discharged from the hospital. Thus explained the big side effect of this virus. COVID-19 could decrease the function of several organs such as the respiratory system and will easily get exhausted, chest pain, and asphyxiation. The brain gets the side effect, there will be inflammation which causes stroke and brain seizure. Moreover, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease would be the long-term effect of COVID-19.

According to WHO, 10 percent of the world’s population is exposed to the virus, even 2 million people passed away. This amount is enough to change the world. Further, human health will be decreased due to the complexities of survival COVID-19.

COVID-19 has rapidly mutated. We shouldn’t be beaten by viruses. Hence, we must invent more medical technology that can cure and evade the virus, such as creating stem cells to replace the damage from the side effect of COVID-19; Developing a medical device that is useful in daily life for killing the virus in one room or detecting viruses instantly; also an effective vaccine for every mutated virus.

The most important is to enrich research about this virus and the mutated viruses for advancing the medical field. This is one of the best ways to share awareness for society. If more researches are done and the results are socialized into the community, more people will be concerned with health issues and new medical developments.  Moreover, now as we are forced to do all activities online,  people from different parts of the world can easily reach the new information.
